Irregular, yellowish green, upper-surface blotch. Pupation outside the mine; exit slit in upper epidermis. The exit slit is unusually long: from half to almost three quarters of a circle. Frass in rather few, coarse grains.

In middle France larvae found in July-mid August and end September- mid November (Martinez & Gumez, 1998a).
