Blotch, upper-or lower-surface, but when several larvae share a mine, wihch frequently occurs, the mine gets a number of full depth spots. The blotch is preceded by a short corridor (may have been overrun by the later blotch, but then stilll recognisable in the frass pattern). Pupation outside the mine. Leaves with vacated mines are quickly shed.

According to the Fauna Europaea (2009) the species has been found also in Spain, where this particular Euphorbia species does not occur.
