Corridor, up to 100 long and 2-3 mm wide, with conspicuous primary feeding lines and frass in very large, widely dispersed grains. Pupation outside the mine.

Arnica angustifolia.
Because the species has also been found in Czechia, where angustifolia does not occur, probably also A. montana is a host plant.
