Upper surface blotch from which branches arise the become broader and finally coalesce. Several larvae in a mine. Pupation outside the mine.
Symphytum cordatum, tuberosum.
Larvae from end June till early July; possibly there is a second generation.
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).

Described by Beiger (1975a). Mesothorax with a large dorsal hump; front spiraculum with 13-15, rear spiraculum with 19-21 papillae.
≥ 2 mm, shining brown.
