Very narrow gallery, especially its first part strongly spiralled, not longer than 1 mm. The larva can migrate to another leaf by way of the rind of the stem. Frass in indistinct grains. Pupation external.

Described by de Meijere (1934a); rear spiraculum with 7-9 papillae.
C. 1 mm, brownish yellow to reddish brown.
