Dirty green blotch with lateral extensions, often occupyimg in the end the whole leaf. All frass is concentrated in a black mass in the centre of the mine. Sometimes several mines in th same leaf. At the begin of the mine a white, oval egg shell is visible. Pupation outside the mine.

Bellidiastrum michelii; Solidago virgaurea.


Larvae in June – July (Hering, 1957a).


Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).

From Britain to the Pyrenees, and from France to Poland; also Italy, Bulgaria (Hartig, 1939a; Buhr, 1941b; Fauna Europaea, 2009).
