Narrow, shallow, sometimes branching corridor, widening into a shallow blotch. Frass in black accumulations. Puparium now within, then outside the mine.
Larvae in May and August (Hering, 1957a).

LUX not recorded (Fauna Europaea, 2009).

There is some doubt if this species is a true leafminer, or perhaps a saprophyte (Hering, 1957a).
