larva or pupa in the receptacle of a not or hardly galled flower head. The larva may also cause a conspicuous, unilateral, bladderlike, smooth-walled, unilocular stem gall. The larva, a maggt, pupates in the gall.

Buhr, probably basing himself on Houard, additionally mentions Bellidiastrum michelii (= Aster bellidiastrum).
