gall

about 1 mm high conical gall on the upper side of a leaf with an opening at the top; at the leaf underside a dimple surrounded by a discoloured zone. Larva 1 mm, solitary, yellow; spatula yellow, lobes transversal, separated by a narrow fissure. The gall is vacated in March.
