Acumyia acericola Harris, 2008
on Acer
gall
Larva and pupa in the strongly disfigured and somewhat enlarged fruit. Up to seven pupae were found in a single fruit.
host plants
Sapindaceae, monophagous
Acer campestre, platanoides.
notes
In the galls also eriophyid mites have been found, of an undefined species, and the possibility cannot be excluded that A. acericola merely is an inquiline in a mite gall.
