Rosa sp., Amsterdam: dead larva and the pupa of its parasitoid, a wasp, almost certainly Torymus microstigma (Walker) (Chalcidoidea, Torymidae – thanks to Theo Gijswijt).


Larvae orange, gregarious; two or more generations per year. Pupation in the ground.

Cecidomyia, Dasineura, Perrisia, Wachtliella, rosarum (Hardy, 1850).


Full grown, yet white larvae may belong to the inquiline Macrolabis luceti.

Moreover, D. rosae is predated upon by Lestodiplosis rosarum.
