The leaflets are doubled upwards over the midrib, but only lightly swollen and shortened. Two annual generations; one or more yellow larvae per gall.

A refence to V. sylvatica by Béguinot needs verification.


Probably the white larvae belong to the inquiline Macrolabis vicicola (the colour of these larvae is not described).
