lateral buds are modified and enlarged to oval, strongly hairy galls; the gall chamber contains a number (up to 26!) orange larvae, or cocoons with pupae.

Potentilla recta.


Can perhaps be deployed in the biological control of P. recta, that in North America is a noxious and highly invasive weed.
