Oligotrophus gemmarum: opened gall

the gall consists of but one whorl of modified needles.

Small inconspicuous bud gal: 1-4 mm long. The gall consists of of a single whorl of three widened and shortened needles. Larva white to pale yellow or orange; pupation internal.
