Axillary buds and flower heads may turn into unilocular galls, but the apical meristem mat form an agregate of up to 80 cells, each with one red larva. Multivoltine, pupation in the gall.
Deployed in the biological controlof the hostplant, that has escaped in many parts of the world and turned into a noxious weed.
