Puparia at the undersides of the leaves. They are 1 mm long, broad-oval, flat, black, with a short white fringe along the margin; dorsally some long white threads of wax. Contrary ro related species no eye spots are visible.

Asarum europaeum; Cimicifuga; Clematis vitalba; Frangula alnus; Linnaea borealis; Lonicera fragrantissima, nigra, tatarica, xylosteum; Phlomis; Spiraea; Symphoricarpos albus; Vaccinium myrtillus.
In northern Europe mainly on Linnaea borealis, in Central Europe mainly on Asarum europaeum.

Univoltine; hibernation as puparium.
