Puparia 0.7-1 mm, oval, pale. Each puparium bears laterally three pairs of curled “shells” of wax, leaving the median line covered by nothing more than a little mealy wax. In dense groups at the undersides of the leaves; colonies conspicuous because of copious amounts of wax.
