Aphis fabae evonymi

this subspecies of A. fabae is the only one that performs its complete life cycle on spindle tree without host alternation.

host plants

Celastraceae, monophagous

Euonymus europaeus, japonicus, latifolius, nanus, verrucosus.

Many authors, including Blackman & Eastop, see an autonomous species Aphis evonymi; this site however sticks for the nomenclature to the Aphid Species File. According to the Fauna Europaea (2014), the much used orthography euonymi is incorrect.
