Aphis teucrii

Aphis teucrii (Börner, 1942)

on Teucrium

Green to dark green apterae, 1-2 mm long, in the shoot tips, causing leaf curling.

host plants

Lamiaceae, monophagous

Teucrium botrys, capitatum, chamaedrys & subsp. pinnatifida, fruticans, montanum, polium.

Morphologically, the aphids cannot be separated from those of Aphis alienus, and it is well possible that teucrii is but a synonym of that species.
