Apterae 2-4 mm, yellowish green (rarely bright green); eyes black. Abdomen dorsally sclerotised (but not darkened), segmental borders obliterated. Siphunculi slightly swollen distally. No host plant alternation. Aphids at the underside of the fronds, along the veins; the fronds do not become disfigured.
