Apterae 1-2 mm, dark green to salmon pink with variably developed dorsal dark spots or patches. On clover observed within the leaf sheaths (Kanturski ao).

Sometimes also Capsella; Valeriana; Veronica.


North American species, since 1964 in Europe. In America host-alternating, with Rosaceae-Maleae (Crataegus, Malus etc.) as the primary hosts. Important pest on clover.
