All viviparae are alate, pale lemon-yellow to greenish yellow, with banded antennae. Generations from midsummer to autumn bear a continuous broad black band running around front and sides of head and down sides of body as far as abdominal tergite 3, as well as a broad brown-black band along the anterior margin of the forewing.
