Scales mainly on the wood. The exuvia of the previous generation are very eccentrical, in frontal position, the oldest on obliquely on the younger one.

Tamaricaceae, monophagous

Tamarix africana, aphylla, canariensis, gallica, parviflora.

The observations on Quercus by Masten Mikek ao probably are exceptional.
