Trioza caesaris Burckhardt & Lauterer 2002
on Cardamine, (Stellaria)
larvae in shallow pits at upperside or underside of the leaves; at the other side a low dimple. Larvae flat, almost circular, surrounded by a circle of radiating wax threads.
Brassicaceae, ± narrowly monophagous
under a high population density, eggs and larvae were also found on Stellaria nemorum subsp. montana, growing in the immediate neighbourhood. However, the development on this plant was slower, and the mortality very high.
