Apocrita
The larvae of the Aprocrita are in the very large majority carnivorous (e.g. Vespoidea), parasitoids (almost all Chalcidoidea) or feed on pollen (the Apoidea). This makes the relevance of Apocrita for this website far less than their huge number of species would suggest. The most important family is the one of the gall wasps, Cynipidae.
