Tetramesa hordei (Harris, 1830)
on Agropyron, Elymus, Elytrigia
Above a node the leaf sheath is thickened, and mostly open at one side. At the inside some fusiform galls, each with a yellow larva or pupa.
Poaceae, narrowly oligophagous
E. repens is the most important one.
Harmolita, Isthmosoma, hordei.
In some regions outside of Europe a pest on cereal crops (“barley jointworm”).
