Andricus clementinae gall

gall

globular solitary bud gall. The gall measures 5 mm, is shortly pedunculate and is indistinctly nippled on top. Fresh galls are yellowish-green with a short white down; the wall is thin and turgescent, but lignifies when the gall becomes older. Inside a single chestnut-coloured inner gall that almost completely fills the gall chamber.
