The gall consists of a narrow, 7-8 mm high cup, upon, separated by a shallow groove, a flat disk that lies over the branch, although though the gall is attached by narrow stalk. The disk is velvety hairy. The globular, thin-walled inner gall is situated near the base of the gall.
