gall

4-6 mm long, cylindrical, sausage shaped, curved catkin gall. The surface has length grooves and bears simple or stellate hairs. In the gall chamber a yellowish white inner gall. Often two, sometimes three, more of less coalesced galls in one flower.

Only the sexual generation is known.
