unilocular bud gall. The gall is elongated sac-like, narrower at the base; sometimes the gall is tubular. The gall is 11-23 mm long and 7-9 mm wide at its largest width. The gall chamber is located in the basal part of the gall; its wall is not well-differentiated from the gall parenchyma. The gall turns dark brown and lignified, and does not drop from the tree.
