Long-hairy, thick-discoidal gall, 4-6 mm across, that is attached with one point at the underside of a leaf. The hairs in the central part are orange-brown, more laterally they are greyish-white. The gall tissue around the small central gall chamber has several horizontal cavities.

Catkin gall. One of the two loculi is swollen into an ovoid, 1.5-2 mm long, densely silvery-hairy gall. The gall is green when young, golden brown when mature.
