gall

Larvae in a tight tubular, downwards rolled, leaf margin, extending over almost the full length of the leaf. Larva solitary. Without the larva the galls cannot reliably be identified.

hostplants

Salicaceae, narrowly monophagous

Salix gmelinii, viminalis.

According to Beneš (2015a) also S. schwerinii.

larva

Third abdominal segment with 4 dorsal annulets, 1-3 with setae. Suranal plate with widely separated pseudocerci. Pseudocerci black, their base as well. Segments 9 and 10 dorsally with two black spots.
