Galls paired, on the upper surface of the leaf near its apex; they are short, globose and measured 6-7 x 5 mm; covered with short and thick hairs, colour brownish green; vacated galls pale brownish, with thin walls, filled with frass.

Full grown larva 6-7 mm; head pale, with dark brown markings; body pale yellowish, the green gut shines through. Third abdominal segment with 4 dorsal annulets. Suranal plate with widely separated pseudocerci.
