Same gall, cut open; while the larva grows the available space is taken increasingly by frass, while the gall’s wall becomes thinner.

globular gall, narrowly attached to the underside of the lamina. Variously hairy, sometimes warty; the colour varies from red-tinged green to bright red. Univoltine.
