Euura dolichura

Euura dolichura (Thomson, 1871)

on Salix


greenish-shining, sausage-shaped swelling of the upperside of the leaf, usually one at either side of the midrib. Univoltine.


Salicaceae, narrowly monophagous

Salix lapponum.

Contrary to Kopelke, not on S. phylicifola.


Third abdominal segment with 4 dorsal annulets. Suranal plate with widely separated pseudocerci.


Pontania dolichura; Pontania lapponicola Kopelke, 1994. The name “P. dolichura”, as used in the older literature, in fact refers to E. virilis. The descriptions of dolichura by Kopelke contain confusion with E. femoralis (Vikberg & Malinen, 2012a).


Member of the Euura dolichura species group.
