Sometimes a full depth, untidy, blotch, mainly in the lower leaves; probably more often window feeding between spun leaves. Older larvae live free among spun leaves.

Pale yellow green; pinacula black. Head with a brown W-mark on the rear margin. Prothoracic shield with c. 5+5 brown spots; anal shield not differentiated.
