Globia algae (Esper, 1789)
Irregular, interparenchymatous corridor; sides untidily scalloped out. Frass granular, brown, in corners of the mine. In the end a blotch. After some time the larva continues as a stem borer.
Polyphagous on helophytes.
Larvae in May – June (Hering, 1957a).

Body pale green with a narrow bright green dorsal line; pinacula very small, black; setae short. Head, prothoracic and anal plates shining light brown.
