Photedes morrisii (Dale, 1837)
Long, transparent gallery from the tip of the leaf to the base, where the larva becomes a borer in the stem or the rhizome. Much frass in the mine.
Larvae from August till May (Koch, 1958a).
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2011).

From Sweden tot the Iberian peninsula, Sicily, and the Greek mainland, and from Britain to Romania (Fauna Europaea, 2011).
Body bone coloured; head brown, prothoracic and anal plate black.
