Crambidae
Grass moths
Until shortly this family was mostly united with the Pyralidae in one large family with c. 850 species in Europe alone (Neunzig, 1897a; Parenti, 2000a). The larvae of many Crambidae are borers in grasses and similar plants. Only a few species have mining larvae. See Beirne (1954a).
