The larva tunnels in 1-3 cm thick branches, preferably those that have been infected by a fungal disease and are moribund and desiccating. Pupation not in a cocoon.
Lonicera caerulea, nigra, ? periclymenum, tatarica, xylosteum.
The larva lives three years.
