The larva bores in the root crown and in the rhizome; here also the hibernation and pupation.

Lamiaceae, oligophagous

Mentha arvensis, spicata; Stachys palustris.

However, according to Pinzari ao the larvae is polyphagou and lives also on Euphorbia amygdaloides; Lycopus europaeus; Symphytum officinale.
