Cochylimorpha cultana

Cochylimorpha cultana (Lederer, 1855)

on Artemisia

fusiform swelling of lateral branches, or young main branches 3-4 mm thick and 1-3 cm long; larva a caterpillar

host plants

Asteraceae, narrowly monophagous

Artemisia barrelieri, campestris & subsp. glutinosa.

Stenodes cultana; Conchylis pontana (Staudinger, 1859); Conchylis extensana (Staudinger, 1859).

Requena i Miret writes that the larvae live on the inflorescence of Peucedanum gallicum; Santolina chamaecyparissus & rosmarinifolia.. This seems to stem from a confusion.
