The larvae feed on the developing seeds.

The mature larve, with their case, burrow in the soil. The moths appear only after the second hibernation.

PESI (2018) only indicates the Iberian Peninsula; in reality the species is known from Anatolia, Austria, France, Hungary, former Yugoslavia, Greece (Rhodes), Italy and Spain (van de Wolf in litt., 2018).
