Larve in a dark brown, trivalved, 6 mm long, cigar-shaped silken case with a mouth angle of 80°-90°.Half hidden by the pappus they feed on the ripening fruits.

phenology

Larvae in September-October. Once full fed they leave the host plant for the winter diapause.
