Spathulate leaf case, up to 15 mm long, yellowish white to ochreous brown. Mouth angle c. 45°. The species makes unusually large fleck mines.

Centaurea aspera, jacea, scabiosa; Serratula tinctoria.


Larvae are full grown in June (Hering, 1957a).


Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
