Tubular silken case, outside covered with frass grains. In the youth case the frass cover is even and complete, in the full-grown case the frass lies in length stripes, alternating with frass-free zones. Full-grown case fusiform, three-valved, 6.5-12 mm; the mouth angle is c. 45°.
