Coleophora deviella case

Full grown larvae in a pale yellowish brown, trivalved, tubular silken case of c. 9 mm with a mouth angle of 20°-30ª.

Amaranthaceae, oligophagous

Bassia laniflora; Suaeda maritima.


Larvae from August on; they are full grown in October (Emmet ao, 1996a)

Coleophora suaedivora Meyrick, 1928; C. maeniacella: Toll, 1952.


The larvae feed both on the developing fruits and the leaves. The cases are sitting rather prominently on top of the plants (Fairclough, 1984a).
