Large (15-17 mm), dark yellow-brown, composite leaf case, composed of but two leaf fragments, one placed behind the other. The case is laterally compressed. Mouth angle c. 50°.
In Italy probably on another Centaurea species (Baldizzone, 1991d).
From the summer till next spring (Suire, 1961a).
