Slender, laterally compressed, sheath case with a clear ventral keel. The case has a number of fine diagonal ridges running backwards-downwards. Rear end bent somewhat down, darker than the remainder of the case. Mouth angle about 20°.
Larvae from autumn till June of the following year (Hering, 1957a).
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
