Elongate-fusiform tubular silken case; the case is decorated by about 6 broad length bands of rather coarse sand grains. The case is 5-7 mm long; the mouth angle is c. 45°.

Asteraceae, narrowly monophagous
Galatella linosyris.
An adult has also been swept from Galatella sedifolia (Baldizzone & Nel, 1994b).
phenology
Larvae from September till May (Hering, 1957a).
BENELUX
Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
distribution within Europe
From Germany to the Pyrenees and Italy, and from France to Hungary; moreover known from South Russia (Fauna Europaea, 2009).
